Your rights and our policies for making films on YaFilme — in plain language, so you can actually tell what you agreed to.

1. Ownership of what you make

Your film is yours.

When you pay for a finished film, you own it. You can use it commercially — advertising, social media, broadcast, client work, anything — with no additional license, royalty, or attribution required.

We don't claim ownership of your films, and we don't use them to promote YaFilme unless you give us permission.

One honest note: AI-generated content may have limited or no copyright protection under current law, and similar content may be generated for other customers. What we're giving you is full permission to use your film however you want. We can't guarantee it's legally exclusive to you.

2. Music library license

Music included with your film.

Every film comes with music from the YaFilme library. These tracks are original works we created and own.

You may: use library tracks in any film you make on YaFilme, and use that film commercially, anywhere, forever.

You may not: download, extract, or separate the audio from your film; redistribute or resell the tracks as music; use them in projects made outside YaFilme; or claim ownership of them.

Tracks are not exclusive. Other customers may use the same music.

3. Uploading your own content

When you upload something, you're telling us you have the right to use it.

Music you upload: you confirm you own it or hold a license permitting this use. Uploading commercial music you don't have rights to can expose you to claims from the rights holder.

Photos of people: if you upload a photograph of a real person to use as a character or spokesperson, you confirm you have their permission to create AI-generated video of them. If it's not you, you need their consent.

Voice recordings: if you upload a voice that isn't yours, you confirm you have the speaker's permission.

Scripts, books, and other writing: you confirm the work is your own, is in the public domain, or that you hold adaptation rights. Adapting someone else's book without permission is a copyright violation regardless of who does the adapting.

You're responsible for what you upload, and you agree to cover us if a claim arises from it.

4. AI disclosure

Your films are made with AI.

Everything YaFilme produces is AI-generated. Some jurisdictions and some platforms require you to disclose AI-generated content, particularly in advertising, political messaging, or anything featuring a person's likeness. Those requirements are yours to meet, and they vary by where you are and where you publish.

We're not the ones publishing your film, so we can't do this for you — but you should know it may apply.

5. Satisfaction and refunds

You don't pay for a video you can't use.

Drafting is free and unlimited. Nothing is charged until you approve your cut and choose to render it.

If your finished film isn't right, tell us what's wrong and we'll fix it — often for free, and often without spending a render. If we can't get it right, you get your money back on that film.

Re-rolls are free. Failed renders are free and never count against you.

Refunds cover the render charge for the film in question. Memberships are billed separately and refunded per the membership terms.

6. How long we keep your work

Download your films. We're not a storage service.

Drafts: unfinished drafts stay available for 7 days on the free plan, 30 days for members. After that they move to Expired — still listed, but locked until restored. Members can restore them instantly; on the free plan, restoring is part of upgrading. Expired drafts are permanently deleted 30 days later, and we'll email you 3 days before that happens.

Finished films: available to download for as long as your account is active, up to one year after creation. We'll email you before removing anything. Please keep your own copy.

7. What you can't make here

We won't produce:

Content involving minors in any sexual or exploitative way
Sexual content, or content depicting real people in sexual situations
Content promoting violence, terrorism, or hatred toward a group
Content depicting a real person saying or doing something they didn't, in a way meant to deceive
Content designed to defraud, defame, or harass
Content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark
Content encouraging self-harm
Political advertising or disinformation campaigns

Accounts used for any of this may be suspended without refund. Some of these are also restrictions passed through from the AI providers whose models we use.
